Die vreemdste ding het hierdie jaar gebeur. My grootste boekwurm het basies opgehou lees vir ‘n paar maande. Hormone is ‘n snaakse ding. Sy het begin sukkel om te konsentreer. Sy moes dele oor en oor lees om die storie te kan volg. Wat beteken het dat sy net besluit het dis makliker om net eerder nie te lees nie.
Waar sy gewoonlik die laaste paar jaar tussen 200 en 300 boeke per jaar gelees het, het sy die eerste helfte van die jaar net 27 boeke gelees. Gelukkig het dit darem weer begin beter word en lees sy nou weer heerlik. Sy lees steeds nie meer so baie soos voorheen nie. Ek dink egter dat dit gedeeltelik is omdat sy ander stokperdjies ontdek het in die tyd wat lees minder lekker was. Deesdae sal sy maklik vir ure sit en legkaart bou, kruisiesteek doen, skets of lego speel (tot haar suster se groot vreugde).
Sy’t steeds 92 boeke gelees die jaar. Haar gunsteling Afrikaanse boeke was die Glam divas reeks deur Solet Scheeres en in Engels die Stranded reeks deur Jeff Probst.
